Navigating Norway

During the summer, my partner and I took a holiday to visit his friend in the south of Norway. Our trip started off with a bumpy start as our flight couldnt land in oslo due to bad weather. We were redirected and missed our connected flight between Oslo and Kristiansand but spent the night in an Oslo airport (well a few hours zzzz). While we were in Norway, we stayed in Sogne. We enjoyed seeing the lookout point and having soft ice (icecream covered in chocolate powder)! I had never seen so many tiny islands from a coastline before. We drove to a cabin that was located in Brokke. The drive was about 3 hours and we loved seeing the beautiful fjords (including the widest in Norway - Byglandsfjord) and the waterfalls from the windows. We tried Norwegian style hot dogs which is a tradition that the family hold. The cabin was absolutely amazing and very traditional. I enjoyed how warming it felt with the wooden clad walls and stone floors. Its had a wood-burner and even a sauna! W...

Bristol break

Hello all! Hope you had a great Christmas. I spent Christmas with my family and ate way way waaaaay too much… worth it! Before Christmas though my boyfriend and I decided to have a night away in Bristol as a Christmas present to each other. We did this last year and went to the Winchester Christmas market so I think we are making it a bit of a tradition. I really recommend giving a present in the form of a memory as I will always look back on these nights away with fondness.   First of all we had a look around the Bristol museum and art gallery. The building was beautiful and was lovely to have a quick look around. I particularly enjoyed the natural history and art section. I think a visit to an art gallery is in order soon! We then met up with my friend who lives in Bristol and he showed us around the harbour front and back to the Christmas market and shopping area. We then had a look around the shops and it was lovely to be in a city at Christmas time with the hustle a...

Pony Land

Me and my boyfriend went on our first holiday together to Exmoor national park. We spent 5 days camping on a farm near Porlock which was especially good for the local pub (Beer and pie? YES PLEASE). We started off our holiday by setting up the tent and getting everything organised which took kind of forever but then we had our little house all ready to go (and without even starting a domestic)! We went to Dunster castle and had a really lovely time exploring the grounds and looking out at the views from the roof garden. We also enjoyed a tea in the greenhouse cafĂ©. It was a really beautiful day and the gardens flowers were all in bloom. We also went on a tour of the Victorian kitchens which was really interesting although we were the only 2 under 40!   We had a look at Porlock weir which was a really quaint fishing village which was nice for a nosey and had nice views along the coast.     The next day we had quite the adventure going to Lynton...
